Here is a sample of the poem.

Basketball is the apple of my eye.
It is like humans breathing air, I must play it in order to survive.
Basketball flows through my mind, body, and soul,
As blood flows through our veins.

On the night of March 15, 2006 I found my destiny.
Like a lost puppy finding its home, I found my fate.
I have found my motherland, my own utopia.
“Bzzzzz,” the buzzer sounds and it is time to battle.
